MIDWEEK

I brought some DVDs from MCS and watched movies "A Lot Like Love" and "Stepford Wives" and had my haircut done at a nearby barber shop. Slept at 5:30 and woke up at 9:00 PM kaya di tuloy ako nakapagdinner....Pumasok tuloy ako sa work ng gutom...

God! its still a wednesday...cant we just fast forward to friday, my day off....waaaahhhh!

Im so inlove with A Lot Like Love's movie soundtrack especially Aqualung's " Brighter Than Sunshine"....

"Brighter Than Sunshine"

I never understood before
I never knew what love was for
My heart was broke, my head was sore
What a feeling

Tied up in ancient history
I didnt believe in destiny
I look up you're standing next to me
What a feeling

What a feeling in my soul
Love burns brighter than sunshine
Brighter than sunshine
Let the rain fall, i don't care
I'm yours and suddenly you're mine
Suddenly you're mine
And it's brighter than sunshine

I never saw it happening
I'd given up and given in
I just couldn't take the hurt again
What a feeling

I didn't have the strength to fight
Suddenly you seemed so right
Me and you
What a feeling

What a feeling in my soul
Love burns brighter than sunshine
It's brighter than sunshine
Let the rain fall, I don't care
I'm yours and suddenly you're mine
Suddenly you're mine

It's brighter than the sun
It's brighter than the sun
It's brighter than the sun, sun, shine.

Love will remain a mystery
But give me your hand and you will see
Your heart is keeping time with me

What a feeling in my soul
Love burns brighter than sunshine
It's brighter than sunshine
Let the rain fall, I don't care
I'm yours and suddenly you're mine
Suddenly you're mine

I got a feeling in my soul ...

ANOTHER BORING WORK WEEK!

My whole weekend has been a total relief for me since I just came back from Sta. Maria, Bulacan...Was able to get away from the stress and the heavy traffic of the metro. It was already 9:00 when my roomie and I got back to our unit. We had like less than 30 minutes to prepare to go to work at 10:00 PM. Major bummer! I was like so L-A-Z-Y, I was just keepin myself from goin on absent. I wish it was friday again.....Its gonna be another excruciating work week boohoo!

PEACE OF MIND

Something that was sent to me by my friend Pinoy thru email...

If you were to ask your neighbor,
"What would give you peace of mind?" he might tell you,
"A vacation in Bermuda!" or
"An extra hundred grand would give me peace!", or
"A new Ferrari would make me content!"

But going places – and getting stuff – is usually a temporary solution ...

Let's say you buy a lottery ticket and by some miracle you win your dream Ferrari.
Today you are content.
Tomorrow you are saying,
"If I could just catch that little punk who scratched it in the car park!"

Peace of mind rarely comes from getting more stuff.
Getting more stuff usually leads to wanting even more stuff!

Peace of mind starts with being grateful for what you have right now.

GRATITUDE is POWER, and here's why ...

When you are thankful for what you have -
for the friends you have, and for the things you've got,
you attract more good people and good things.

People who always complain about what they DON'T HAVE, stay stuck.
Complainers attract more things to complain about!

It is a law of life.
It's hard to explain, but you can observe it around you.
We get more of what we dwell upon.

That's why all the spiritual masters have taught the same lesson ...
"Start by being thankful. Be happy with what you have now,
and more will come your way."

It's practical advice.

IN A NUTSHELL

Every time you say a silent "thank you" you become more peaceful – and more powerful.

ANG LEE'S GAY COWBOY FILM

BROKEBACK NOT BAREBACK MOUNTAIN *LoL

The highly anticipated gay cowboy film Brokeback Mountain by Academy Award-winning Chinese director Ang Lee, made its premiere at the 62nd Venice International Film Festival last week.

Based on a short story by E Annie Proulx, Brokeback Mountain stars Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal as two young Wyoming man – a ranch-hand and a rodeo cowboy – who meet in 1963 herding sheep on a mountain and tells of their love that spans over two decades.

Top of page: Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal (right). Above, Academy Award-winning Chinese director Ang Lee with Ledger and Gyllenhaal.
Ledger and Gyllenhaal’s characters fall in love while working on the Brokeback Mountain. At the summer’s end, however, they both return to their normal lives, marry and have children. Four years later, they meet again and their relationship is secretly rekindled.

"There has never been a homosexual cowboy movie," producer James Schamus said.

"We are using the codes and conventions of romance that have always applied to straight people very unapologetically. We don't care if anyone is upset about it."

Lee, however, insisted the gender of his protagonists is immaterial.

"When it comes to love, there is no difference for me between the love I have for my wife and the love a man has for another man."

"What was difficult was pulling down people's preconceptions of the American West, preconceptions that were created by movies," he said.

The material also touched a chord with Gyllenhaal and Ledger, who between them have four films screening at this year's festival.

Ledger said Brokeback, shot amid stunning mountain vistas, was the first "proper" love story he had played.

"I find there's not a lot of mystery left in stories between guys and girls; it's all been done or seen before," he said.

"I felt this was such a refreshing story of love. For me, our characters were also complex, and to... really investigate this form of humanity and expression of love was an opportunity that I hadn't had."

"To me that's what is lacking in most love stories I've seen," Gyllenhaal said, adding that Brokeback Mountain confronts "a real idea of love, not just a cliche."

The actors share on-screen sex scenes that are depicted with a refreshing frankness - though it has been suggested some of their more explicit moments did not make it into the final cut.

At the film's press conference, Lee paid tribute to Proulx's "epic short story – a story that moved all of us."

"The difficulties of their circumstances make it more romantic," he said.

"We all have that urge to be romantic. I hope this love story can penetrate whatever differences of opinion people have."

The Taiwan-born director’s martial-arts epic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, that dealt with love, loyalty and loss, swept the Oscar nominations in 2000, eventually winning Best Foreign Language Film, as well as Best Director at the Golden Globes, and became the highest grossing foreign-language film ever released in America.

Brokeback Mountain will hit theaters in the US in December.

PARIS: HOT

THAT'S HOT!!!!

Paris Hilton on the cover of Vanity Fair's latest ish....

She says:

"I'm sexual in pictures and the way I dress and my whole image. But at home I'm really not like that.

"All of my ex-boyfriends - not PARIS, of course - would be like, 'What's the matter with you? You're so not sexual.'"

V's AND VODKA

THAT SATURDAY NIGHT

Nope, I was not wasted just because of Red Horse beer and Vodka. I tried taking V's (Valium) for the first time, just for curiousity's sake (FYI: though I did it, doesnt mean I recommend it aight). When I took my first pill there wasn't any effect at all after maybe 20 minutes or so I took another and we decided to go inside the club. I guess I was wrong because the effects was like downing ten red horse beer bottles, I mean wasted amplified. I lost my fone, I took my shirt off and danced at the ledge ( which I never do ). All inhibitions lost and I wouldn't go into further details because as of now I'm still embarassed about all the things I did (especially with Polo's recounts of that night)...I cant remember most of the things that has happened only lapses or snippets. I swear that would be the first and the last. Funny thing is when somebody asked me what I wanted to drink, in a snap I answered "vodka tonic". I've been a beer drinker all my life and I dont usually drink vodka. One thing I learned Valium + Alcohol = UNCONSCIOUSNESS

SPICY!!!!!

I've been a Spice Girls fan before and I love Victoria, they were like everywhere (those money making machine bitches!). I like it when she pouts her lips and the black mini dresses. She is just sexy! but she is so frail thin now and I dunno what's up with the anorexic look. My roommate was like downloading MP3 files and has been asking me about some songs. I suggested that he include Emma Bunton's "Take My Breathe Away"...I checked on her website and I was floored when I saw her pics. She is so my biggest female crush right now. I just got to put a space for her pics on my blog. GORGEOUS! GORGEOUS! GORGEOUS!. I guess Hotness Spice is more like it! Whew!

STILLETOS

OMG! Jessica Alba in thos stilletos...Just so HAWT!. I love her and I so love the shoes. Im bi but I have this thing for women wearin stilletos, I just think that its real sexy and hot. This gotta be stilleto fetish that I have. I had this ex girlfriend before who was so into this kind of shoes, she feels that it gives her the added umph. She feels sexy wearin them though it hurts if you're wearin them for hours, more like a corset.

NIGHT OUTS

The fab POLO with his friend (is that vodka tonic???)

I was so wasted that I dont even remember having this pic

FRIDAY
I went out last friday night with POLO...we went to BED it was fun, GOGO boys galore! LoL...There was this japanese guy who's name was HUGO, was hitting on me that I had to pretend that we and Polo were together. This guy was so insistent that he wouldnt buy it, I told him for the nth time that Polo was my bf. But who in the world would believe that there is such a couple whose names are Marco and Polo nyahaha!...Being the nice guy that I am (I'm a big slut but im still nice) I talked to him nicely. I am really not that rude, funny thing was that he told me that I just tell him if he was bugging me already...As long as he is not groping me or pushing his tongue down my truth thats fine with me. He asked as both why we were not drinking and Polo responded in colegiala tone "Its because he is going to make hatid me pa eh". God! what would I do just to get this guy off my back. I had this plan if this guy wouldnt quit Im going to kiss Polo in front of this guy para maniwala lang. As usual Stripperboi was there struttin his stuff and dancin like he was on dope. Eyesore for Polo who was just holding himself back from throwing beer bottles at the guy. They seem to have this hatred for each other.
SATURDAY
I met up with SLY at around 11:00 in the evening. We met at Sonata and had some few bottles of beer and the usual kamustahan to make up for lost time. I met his FAB friends Dickie and his BF for 3 years , Roland, Nico, Jaime "the V diva"...I forgot Jaime's friend's name (Im terrible with names, forgive me! ). Dickie had to go to Fab for he was on the guest list and they were having their first anniversary. So it was talk, talk, talk and as Sly would put it it was Liberation Night, its been two weeks that he has been single and available. At first it was just Sly and me who were talking, you know gettin to know each other stuff. Sly has been an online friend since Teletech days. Dickie ask everyone about what kind of image we were projecting that night. His BF answered conservative cool, nico said gay in which Dickie reiterated that it was so european of him. Sly answered confused in which everyone reacted that it was so passe. It was my turn I just said that it was more of boy next door image, Dickie corrected me by saying "No! its bi next door" to which everyone laughed.
I lost my phone that same night. I really didnt care about the phone since it was an old model, what im worried about was my contacts on both sim and phone memory. Thats was my main sim...Too bad! so to all my peeps I dont have my phone so Im gonna be out of reach til I get a new one... All in all I had a fab time that night.....
NYC CLOSED
They closed out NYC because they are going to make it as BED's extension. Too bad! its fun going there. I like the kind of music that they play there. Kylie, Spice Girls, Beyonce hits. BED is more on House music...
